Isaac E. Barron was elected to represent City Council Ward 1 in June 2013; he was reelected for a second term in April 2017. He holds the distinction of being the first Hispanic member of the North Las Vegas City Council and Southern Nevada's first Hispanic Mayor Pro Tempore. Barron is a native of North Las Vegas and an award-winning Clark County school teacher. He comes from a humble immigrant background. His father was a kitchen worker and his mother was a maid. He has long been a community activist and advocate for North Las Vegas youth, mentoring students after school and leading volunteer efforts for community improvement projects. Barron holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Nova University. He is married to Lucy and has four children and five grandchildren.

His professional experience includes work as the vice president of corporate communications for Payroll Solutions, the founder and president of Wilson, Beers & Alu and the chief financial officer of the Alien Tequila Spirits Company and Ely Radio, LLC. He has also served on the board of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission Nevada Advisory Committee and as the treasurer of the Tonopah Historic Mining Park Foundation. He was also the City Councilman in Las Vegas from 2012 to 2016.

Richard Scotti, Esq. served as the District Court Judge for Department 2 of the Eighth Judicial District Court, handling both Civil and Criminal caseloads. The Court has honored former Judge Scotti to serve as the chief of appeals of all misdemeanor convictions and summary eviction matters in Clark County.
